Hallo!
Ich heiße Melody, komme aus Xichang City, China, und bin eine engagierte Chinesischlehrerin mit einem Bachelor-Abschluss und einem Postgraduierten-Diplom im Unterrichten von Chinesisch als Fremdsprache (SOAS, University of London).
Seit mehreren Jahren unterrichte ich Chinesisch für Lernende aller Altersgruppen in China, dem Vereinigten Königreich und Indonesien. Neben der Sprache faszinieren mich die chinesische Malerei und das traditionelle Instrument Gu Zheng – beides habe ich ebenfalls unterrichtet.
Seit April 2024 lebe und arbeite ich unter anderem als Online-Lehrerin in Deutschland, lerne selbst Deutsch und genieße den kulturellen Austausch.
Als gebürtige Sichuanerin liebe ich scharfes Sichuan-Essen, klassische chinesische Literatur und Kunst. Außerdem bin ich eine große Tierfreundin – in meiner Heimat habe ich zwei Hunde und eine Katze.

Step into the fascinating world of Chinese language and culture. This beginner-friendly course is designed for adult learners and it offers a natural, step-by-step, effective and playful approach to learning everyday Chinese, with a strong focus on spoken Chinese. This small-group course offers intensive, personalized learning in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, with individual support tailored to each participant. Highlights include: Learn daily topics: greetings, names, nationality, self-introductions, family members, age, numbers 1-100 Kung Fu Tea Ceremony: taste and learn the art of tea; tea set, Chinese tea, and snacks provided. Chinese Calligraphy and Painting: paint and write using traditional materials; all materials provided. By the end of the course, you'll be able to introduce yourself and your family, ask for basic personal information, hold simple conversations on everyday topics, and gain a meaningful first impression of the Chinese language and culture. You'll also take home a piece of Chinese artwork featuring calligraphy created by yourself.
Step into the fascinating world of Chinese language and culture! As a special highlight, the course includes a hands-on session making Jiaozi, traditional Chinese dumplings enjoyed during Lunar New Year. You’ll prepare meat and vegetarian fillings, practice folding techniques, learn boiling and pan-frying, and make two dipping sauces. You will learn vocabulary related to food and experience Chinese culture firsthand. The cours offers a natural, step-by-step approach to learning everyday spoken Chinese in a warm and supportive small-group setting. The course builds on the previous Chinese Taster Courses. Basic knowledge of pinyin, greetings, nationalities, age, dates, family, pets, time and the Chinese Zodiac is recommended. Unleash your inner artist in our engaging art workshops! Learn to create simple yet expressive drawings using pencils, black fine-line pens, and colored pencils. Immerse yourself in the beauty of sketching and coloring flowers, plants, fruits, animals, people, and landscapes. Let your creativity flow as you bring these subjects to life with vibrant colors and expressive details! Additionally, experience the beauty of Chinese painting through easy-to-learn techniques with traditional Chinese brushes, paints, ink, Chinese rice paper, and seals. All necessary tools for Chinese painting will be provided by the teacher free of charge. This course is designed to bring joy and fulfillment to the creative process. Painting isn’t about perfection—let’s immerse ourselves in the creative process and enjoy every moment without worrying about flaws or expertise! Suitable for beginners aged 13 and over. This workshop will be conducted mainly in English. For the first two sessions, which will focus on Simple Drawing, please bring the following: ● Pencil ● Eraser ● Black fine-line pen ● Colored Pencils ● Sketchbook or white paper For our final session, we will be exploring Chinese Painting: The teacher will provide Chinese brushes, Chinese paints, Chinese xuan paper, ink, seals, and red paste. You may keep your Chinese artwork and take it home. However, all tools—including the Chinese brushes, Chinese paints, ink, seals, and red paste—must be returned to the teacher after use.
